What is Paleo?

What is the paleo diet? Here is a common sense explanation for the beginners. Im Dr for wellness for life. Paleo has become a buzzword these days, and theres a lot of confusion as usual. What humans do best is to complicate things. First of all, what does it mean, where does it come from, why do we do it? The paleolithic era was about 3 Million years ago to 10,000 years ago.. when we started the agriculture area. During all these times tehre was no agriculture and humans were hunter gatherers. And then about 250,000 years ago we got Homo Sapiens. And that’s what you and I are. That means you share the same generic code as people did about 250,000 years ago.

What did they eat?
They eat primarily fish, meat and poultry. If they could pick it up and catch it, they would eat it. Fruits, berries , vegetables. And also had some nuts and seeds. Did you live in the mountains? Did you live by teh coast? Are we talking summer or are we talking winter?

What is important to know is that we eat a whole lot of things they never did.

They had no processed foods, and now we are talking primarily sugar, and also had no Franken food.

It’s kind of what we are doing with our food alteration, we are making monster food. It is not working sow ell, cause we are gtting sicker and sicker. One of the worst ones is margarine. There is no similiarity to anything that nature has ever made.

All these chemicals, preservatives, food adittives.. Those are Franken Foods they are chemical, they are..

Yes there were some things that could eat and there were some things they never ate.

One of the most common things that come up is: Can we have dairy?

Here’s the way I look at it: Dairy is for mammals, humans are mammals. It is probably the most natural food in teh planet.

We pretty much continue until the baby can attend for itself..

Most hunter gather populations, breastfeeding is common sense up to 7 yrs old.

SO basically at that age, they don’t need it.

Should we drink the milk from other species?

So yes, we should have human milk… But can we have goat’s milk or cow’s milk?
Any milk is perfectly fine as long as it’s not pasteurized.

Milk is alive, it’s always in nature. That means it was never pausteurized, it was never processed.

The pasteurization ..

They killed off the enzymes and bacterias that awas in there that helped you digestize. To me dairy is ok but never pasteurized.

So once you read online about this you quickly get very confused. Everyone turns this into another diet. There’s always, they are missing a point. It’s not a diet, it’s an understanding, an idea, understanding what food is soothed for us and what is non food. What’s foreign and poisounous and what is it that can sustain us.

Populations over the planet found to be extremely healthy. Some of them ate a lot of vegetables some no vegetables. They made cheese and butter, and no matter where he went, they were perfectly healtht as long as they ate whole foods. As long as they don’t process it and turn it into franken foods. Everything now is sugary, we have all these fructouse high sugar , and teh agave.

So that’s the paleo diet in a nut shell.
Can you use it religiously and show good results.


Can you use it as a template?

I use it as a metaphor to start understannding.

Using anyway you like, it’s a great metaphor for understanding what foods would be suiteable whichs ones not.
